SANAA, Feb. 02 (YPA) – The Ministry of Electricity, Energy, and Water in Sanaa officially launched the preparatory committees on Monday for the 4th Scientific Conference and National Exhibition for Renewable Energy 2026.
Scheduled to commence in early April, the event will be held under the theme: “Contributing to Stimulating, Mobilizing, and Increasing Economic Awareness of Renewable Energy Projects.”
During a joint meeting of the supervisory and executive committees, Adel Bader, Vice Minister of Electricity and Conference Chairman, emphasized that the event aims to develop the Yemeni market and expand the applications of clean energy, foster an investment-friendly environment and strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors, and localize modern technology and train national cadres to improve system efficiency and reduce failure rates.
In a related statement, Sam Al-Bashiri, Acting Minister of Economy and Trade, highlighted the conference’s vital role in driving national investment in coordination with the General Investment Authority. He praised the pivotal role of the private sector and national universities in ensuring the success of this scientific and technical landmark.
The conference is expected to draw wide participation from government entities and private enterprises, seeking to provide practical and legal solutions that support sustainable development in Yemen.
