Civil Defense in Gaza: 31 Palestinians killed since dawn, health system completely collapsed

GAZA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – Civil Defense spokesman in the Gaza Strip, Dr. Mahmoud Bassal, announced the martyrdom of 31 Palestinians since Saturday morning, as a result of ongoing Israeli airstrikes on various areas of the Strip.

He explained that the majority of the victims were women and children, noting that a whole family was wiped out in a bombing that targeted the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

The spokesman also confirmed that the health system in Gaza has completely collapsed as a result of the siege and the strict Israeli measures, pointing to the absence of any humanitarian or service system capable of responding to the needs of the population, in light of the policy of strangulation to which the Strip is subjected.
