Zionist settlers torch vehicles, spray racist slogans in attack on Atara, north of Ramallah

RAMALLAH, Jan. 25 (YPA) – Zionist settlers carried out an organized attack early Sunday on the town of Atara, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, as part of a rising pattern of settler violence against civilians.

According to Palestinian reports, settlers stormed the town and spray-painted racist and inciting slogans on homes and property, in an apparent attempt to spread fear and enforce collective intimidation among residents.

Sources added that settlers set fire to a vehicle belonging to a local resident and attempted to burn others, reflecting a repeated aggressive pattern targeting Palestinian property under the protection of Israeli forces.

The attack comes amid an unprecedented escalation in settler violence, most of which occurs with the backing or complicity of the Israeli army, as part of an official policy aimed at intimidating residents and forcing displacement, with little accountability or deterrence.

The incident underscores that settler attacks are no longer isolated events but a central tool of the settlement project, systematically used to seize land and entrench a racialized reality targeting Palestinians and their property.
