Israeli drone strike kills Lebanese civilians in Tyre district

BEIRUT, Jan. 16 (YPA) – Two Lebanese civilians were killed and others injured on Friday after an Israeli strike targeted a scrap-collecting vehicle in the town of Mansouri, in the Tyre district.

Ambulance teams rushed to the scene and transported the killed and the wounded to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The attack occurred just hours after an Israeli strike hit a vehicle on the road between Zoutor al-Sharqiya and Mifdoun in southern Lebanon.

On Thursday, southern and eastern Lebanon witnessed intermittent Israeli attacks, including airstrikes on the outskirts of Sahmar and Mashghara in the Western Beqaa following warnings and evacuations.

These developments coincided with strikes on areas in Hermel, particularly Wadi Assi, marking the first such attack there since the start of the recent Israeli aerial escalation.
