ADEN, Jan. 16 (YPA) – The extensive and sudden Foreign media coverage of the separatist demonstration called for by the UAE-backed, now-dissolved Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Friday has sparked widespread debate and suspicion, amid allegations of hidden agendas behind the sudden international attention to the event, Yemen Press Agency reported.
Platforms and activists in southern governorates have accused the UAE of sending an Israeli media team to Al-Oroudh Square in Aden, in order to create media coverage meant to bolster the popularity of the exiled Aidarous al-Zubaidi and his agenda of south Yemeni secession.

These platforms claimed that the Zionist team entered Aden under the pretext of working for “European channels,” aiming to cover the mass demonstration in Al-Oroudh Square in the Khormaksar district — the event called for by Aidarous al-Zubaidi, who is currently rumoured to be in the UAE.

Accusations further suggested that the alleged links of the foreign media team to Israel’s Mossad were part of what they described as a “Zionist project” intended to provide political and media support to the now-dissolved STC and to enhance its influence amid recent field developments.
The agency could not verify the accuracy of these claims, and no official statements have been issued by authorities in Aden or by the STC to confirm or deny the identity of the foreign media teams present in Al-Oroudh Square.
