Paris: Mass demonstration demands trial of “Zionist occupation”, end to “genocide”

PARIS, Jan. 12 (YPA) – The French capital, Paris, witnessed a mass demonstration joined by thousands of activists demanding the trial of the “Zionist occupation” and an immediate halt to what they described as the ongoing “genocide” in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Organized by civil society groups, the protest marched from Place de la République to Place de la Bastille. Participants included Palestinian, Arab, and French human rights activists, representatives of pro-Palestine organizations, politicians from the “La France Insoumise” (France Unbowed) party, and members of the “French Jewish Union for Peace.”

Protesters raised Palestinian flags and banners denouncing the “Zionist occupation,” calling for an end to “daily massacres,” the protection of Palestinian civilians, and the release of detainees.

Participants called for the prosecution of the occupation for crimes committed since the “Nakba” 77 years ago. They emphasized the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and urged a boycott of French companies that support the occupation.

Activists strongly condemned the ongoing “crime of genocide” and denounced the occupation authorities’ revocation of licenses for international humanitarian, medical, and relief organizations, labeling it a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.
