Saudi airstrike targets convoy of pro-UAE military leader in Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Jan. 03 (YPA) – A Saudi air strike targeted the convoy of Abdul-Daim al-Shuaibi, a prominent military leader in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC), in the city of Al-Qatn, Hadramout governorate, local sources reported on Friday.

According to preliminary information, the strike directly hit the convoy. The fate of al-Shuaibi remains unknown at this time, amid reports of casualties among his security detail.

Al-Shuaibi serves as the Commander of the Barasheed Brigade, one of the key military wings of the STC.

No official statements have been issued yet by the Saudi-led coalition or the STC leadership to confirm the details of the incident or provide updates on the commander’s condition.
