71,266 Palestinians killed in Gaza amid ongoing Israeli attacks

GAZA, Dec. 29 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip declared on Monday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli genocide has risen to 71,266 martyrs, with 171,222 others injured, since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023.

In its daily statistical report, the ministry said Gaza hospitals received one martyr and four injured persons over the past 48 hours.

The report noted that a number of victims remain trapped under rubble or on roads, as ambulance and civil defense crews are still unable to reach them.

It stated that since the ceasefire on October 11, 414 martyrs have been killed and 1,145 others injured, in addition to the bodies of 680 martyrs have been recovered.

It also said the death of a citizen due to the collapse of a building, raising the number of victims from building collapses caused by low air pressure to 17 cases.
