BEIRUT, Dec. 14 (YPA) – Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh, Naim Qasem, confirmed on Saturday that the resistance succeeded in thwarting the Israeli enemy’s goal aimed at ending it and ending the option of resistance.
In a speech delivered during the Fatimid gathering organized by the Hezbollah women’s Action Unit, he pointed to the achievement of four achievements represented in liberating the land, steadfastness, deterring the enemy, and preventing the invasion of Lebanon, which enshrined the equation of deterrence and protecting the country.
Qasem stressed that the Resistance would continue to defend Lebanon regardless of the challenges, stressing that its weapons would not be disarmed, warning against attempts to weaken it in exchange for keeping the army with limited weapons.
“The state is responsible for sovereignty and deterrence through the army,” he added, while the resistance supports the state and intervenes when it is unable.”
Hezbollah Secretary General considered that calls for the exclusivity of weapons respond to American – Israeli demands, and its risks threaten the existence of Lebanon.
He called on the state to reconsider its positions and apply the existing agreements before discussing the defense strategy within an inclusive national framework.
