DAMASCUS, Dec. 09 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army said on Tuesday reported that one of its military units carried out a field operation in the vicinity of the village of Khan Arnaba in the Syrian province of Quneitra, arresting a number of persons.
According to the statement issued by the occupation army Radio, the military units reached the outskirts of the village located within the buffer zone, which is about 5 kilometers from the border.
The Israeli novel indicated to groups of local residents gathered at the site, which led to protests and confrontations that included stone-throwing at the occupation force.
The statement added that the soldiers had to shoot at protesters, as well as warning shots in the air. As a result, the force decided to withdraw from the area and retreat from completing the field mission.
The occupation forces did not provide additional details about the identity of the suspects or the motives of the operation in the area.
