SANAA, Dec. 05 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted cold to very cold weather in the mountainous highlands over the next 24 hours.
According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, cold to very cold conditions are expected during the night and early morning hours in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Al Bayda, as well as the highlands of Hadramout, Shabwa, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, and the western parts of Jawf and Marib.
Temperatures are expected to range between 0°C and 3°C, with the possibility of frost formation in some areas.
The weather may also be cold in the highlands of Taiz, Ibb, Raymah, Mahwit, and Hajjah.
The center urged vulnerable groups, including the elderly, children, and outdoor workers, in the highlands to take extreme precautions against the anticipated severely cold weather.
Additionally, it advised farmers to take appropriate measures to protect their crops and produce from damage, and urged those arriving in the cold regions to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold shock.
