New drone attack targets oil tanker off Turkish coast in Black Sea

ANKARA, Nov. 29 (YPA) – Turkish authorities announced on Saturday that the oil tanker “Firat”, flying the flag of Gambia, was subjected to a new drone attack this morning, following a similar attack yesterday, Friday, off the Turkish coast in the Black Sea.

The Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure stated that the damage was minor on the starboard side of the vessel above the waterline, confirming that the ship remains stable, its crew is in good health, and no fire was reported onboard.

This targeting follows a similar incident involving another oil tanker, the “Kairos”, also flying the Gambian flag.

In a related context, Ukrainian media reported today, citing special sources, that the targeting of the two vessels was a special operation carried out by Ukrainian Intelligence in cooperation with the Naval Forces, using Sea Baby unmanned surface vessels.
