Security official body found murdered in Aden

ADEN, Nov. 27 (YPA) – The body of an official in the UAE-backed Security Belt forces was found murdered, on Thursday, inside his car in Aden, a city under the control of the Saudi-led coalition in southern Yemen.

Informed local sources confirmed that citizens found the body of Jamal Yahya Najib, the Security Belt’s armament officer in Abyan Governorate, inside his car parked near Khalifa School in Khor Maksar, under circumstances that remain unclear.

They stated that Jamal was killed by a single gunshot, and indicated that the assassination was carried out directly and professionally, as no signs of a clash or resistance were found at the scene.

The assassination of the head of armament in Abyan came after a similar assassination attempt against the Security Belt commander in the central region of Abyan, Abdullah Abu Arab, last Monday in the new city of Inma in the Al-Buraika district.

In a related context, accusations have escalated against elements affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) for being behind a series of assassinations and arrests targeting a number of security and military leaders from Abyan, as part of the ongoing power struggles in the region.
