WEST BANK, Nov. 26 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out raids across several areas of the West Bank early Wednesday, storming Palestinian homes, damaging their contents, and turning some them into military posts.
In Tubas governorate, large Israeli units stormed the city of Tubas as well as the towns of Aqaba and Tammun, conducting house-to-house searches, forcing families out of their homes, and converting a number of them into military outposts.
Samir Bsharat, mayor of Tammun, said Israeli forces were deployed throughout the town and had turned several homes into military positions after evicting their residents.
He told local media that the army had closed all roads leading into Tammun, isolating it from surrounding areas, while imposing a curfew and preventing ambulances from entering.
He added that reconnaissance drones and bulldozers were actively operating in the area.
Bsharat appealed to humanitarian organizations to intervene and allow ambulances into the town to evacuate the body of an elderly blind man, whom medical crews were prevented from reaching.
Meanehiile, Tubas Governor Ahmad Al-Asaad said Israeli authorities had informed them that a military operation in the governorate had begun and would continue for several days.
He told local media the Israeli occupation army had closed all roads leading to Tammun, isolating the town from its surroundings, while imposing a curfew and preventing ambulances from entering.
Al-Asaad added that Israeli occupation is attempting to impose new facts on the ground, stressing that claims of wanted individuals in the area were unfounded.
He said the aggression on the governorate was linked to its geographic location and its proximity to the northern Jordan Valley.
