Yemeni meteorology center warns of volcanic ash from Ethiopia

SANAA, Nov. 25 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning in Yemen has confirmed that the country’s atmosphere is being affected by a widespread dispersion of volcanic ash originating from Ethiopia.

The center stated that the ash has covered vast areas, including the western coasts, mountainous highlands, and extending to the southern and eastern coasts and eastern desert regions. The impact is expected to continue over the next 24 hours.

The center urged citizens in the affected areas to wear masks when going outside, cover exposed water and crops, and stay indoors as much as possible, ensuring doors and windows are tightly closed.
