SANAA, Nov.25 (YPA) – The Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sanaa, chaired by Board Chairman Ali Al-Hadi, held on Monday a meeting to discuss ways to support the national industry and the current challenges facing the sector.
The meeting brought together heads of national factories specializing in food, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and other fields. Al-Hadi affirmed the chamber’s commitment to resolving issues and ensuring factories obtain the advantages and incentives stipulated in the new Investment Law 2025, to enhance their competitiveness against imported products.
Al-Hadi stressed the consensus between the private sector and government bodies that the national industry is the foundation of the economy.
At the meeting a decision was approved to form a committee to prepare a matrix detailing the obstacles facing various industrial products.
The matrix will be studied and presented at a meeting with government bodies (Finance, Economy, Industry, and Investment) within one week.
It was also emphasized that coordination with relevant parties will continue to ensure the sustainability of national factory operations and enhance their competitiveness.
