Meteorology renews its warnings of extremely cold weather

SANAA, Nov. 21 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology forecast a cold wave in parts of the mountainous highlands in various provinces of Yemen.

According to the center’s weather bulletin, the cold wave may be expected in the provinces of Sanaa, Dhamar, Amran, Al-Bayda, Saada, Ibb and Dhalea, southern Marib, Jawf, in additional to Mahweet, Rayma, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah and Hadramout, with the possibility of frost formation in some areas.

The center warned residents in the aforementioned mountainous highlands to take precautions against the cold and very cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the patients, and those working during the night and early morning hours.

Farmers, livestock, beekeepers, and poultry owners were also advised to take appropriate measures against the cold wave.
