DHAMAR, Nov. 19 (YPA) – The stations of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center in Dhamar governorate recorded a new earthquake south of Hodeida governorate in western Yemen.
A bulletin issued by the center on Tuesday explained that the stations recorded an earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale, 17 km southwest of Hays district, which was described as light.
The tremor came after seismic monitoring stations in Dhamar recorded three earthquakes last Sunday, including one northwest of Zabid city measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale, followed by two tremors in Al-Shamayatain district measuring 2.6, and another in Mocha city measuring 2.7 in Taiz governorate.
