Meteorology warns of thunderstorms, expected floods in several Yemeni governorates

SANAA, Oct. 26 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity across parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to the bulletin, thunderstorms of varying intensity, accompanied by active winds, are expected in parts of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Sana’a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, and Taiz governorates.

Scattered rainfall is also expected in parts of Al Bayda, Dhalea, and the highlands of Lahj, as well as parts of the Tihama plain and the western coast.

The center warned citizens against flash floods in ravines and valleys or being in their paths during and after rainfall, and against thunderstorms and reduced horizontal visibility due to fog and low clouds on mountain roads.
