13 killed in Israeli airstrike on Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon

BEIRUT, Nov. 19 (YPA) -At least 13 people were killed and dozens wounded on Tuesday evening when an Israeli drone strike targeted a Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, marking one of the deadliest escalations in months.

The drone strike hit a car in the parking lot of a mosque in the Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp on the outskirts of the coastal city of Sidon, the state-run National News Agency said.

The Public Health Emergency Operations Center, affiliated with Lebanon’s Ministry of Health, confirmed that 13 people were killed and several others injured in the airstrike, without providing further details.

Local medical sources said ambulances rushed to the scene, where crews were still working to retrieve bodies and assist the injured.

Other local sources told media outlets that the number of fatalities may have risen to 15.

This is the first act of aggression of its kind to target the camp since the so-called ceasefire last year.

The Israeli occupation’s assault on Lebanon continues unabated amid absolute impunity and lack of accountability, despite Beirut’s full compliance with the provisions of the ceasefire.

The attack on Ain al-Hilweh marks the third, with two drone strikes previously targeting vehicles in Blida and Bint Jbeil, which killed two civilians in total. This raises the death toll on November 18, 2025, to 15 civilians killed by “Israel”.
