Two earthquakes recorded in Taiz

DHAMAR, Nov. 17 (YPA) – The seismic and volcanic monitoring stations in Dhamar governorate recorded two consecutive earthquakes that struck the districts of Al-Shamayatayn and Mocha, west of Taiz governorate.

The seismic bulletin issued Monday by the center confirmed that the first earthquake occurred in the Al-Turbah area at 6:38 p.m. on Sunday, measuring 2.6 on the Richter scale.

The bulletin indicated that the second earthquake, measuring 2.7 on the Richter scale, occurred at 7:13 p.m. in the area southeast of the coastal city of Mocha, west of Taiz.

This follows an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale that struck northwest of the coastal city of Zabid at 12:41 p.m. on Sunday.
