Mutiny rocks Najran front: Recruits turn on their commanders to free their comrades

NAJRAN, Nov. 15 (YPA) – One of the camps belonging to the Saudi Army’s mercenaries on the Najran front witnessed violent clashes and widespread arrests, targeting a battalion commander and recruits, amid a state of armed rebellion and division.

Informed sources reported that the dispute erupted last Thursday evening in the Saqam area, triggered by the refusal of the commander of the “Al-Suqour Battalion,” Naif Al-Maysari, to have half of his and his recruits’ financial entitlements deducted by the brother of the “Al-Buqa Axis” commander, Mohammed Al-Hashimi, in front of the disbursement committee.

The verbal disagreement escalated into a physical altercation, which ended with the “Military Police” arresting Al-Maysari and a number of his recruits.

In protest of the arrests, dozens of “Al-Suqour Battalion” militants marched to the brigade headquarters, accusing the leadership of “regional bias.” The brigade commander was forced to intervene and secure the release of the detainees, in a scene that exposed the internal conflicts within the mercenary camps.

Sources indicate that tensions are still ongoing amid a state of near-total security collapse inside the camp.
