Palestinian Official Report: Occupation government exploits settlers violence to serve displacement plans in West Bank

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Nov. 15 (YPA) – The National Bureau for Defending the Land and Resisting Settlement stated that the Israeli occupation government is exploiting settler violence and terrorism to serve its plans aimed at expanding settlements and displacing Palestinian communities in the West Bank.

In its weekly report, the Bureau explained that settler attacks have reached unprecedented levels, to the point that they have become a subject of internal condemnation from figures within the Israeli opposition, from Yair Lapid to Avigdor Lieberman and Yair Golan, who considered this behavior a disgrace to the occupation entity.

The report indicated that data issued by the occupation army and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) – although it does not reflect the full reality, according to the Bureau – shows that 1,575 attacks have been recorded in the West Bank since the outbreak of the aggression against the Gaza Strip.

According to the same figures, approximately 704 incidents occurred during the first ten months of this year, in which firearms, sharp objects, and flammable materials were used.

368 of these attacks were classified as “popular terrorism,” meaning deliberate attacks. Various attacks since the beginning of the year have resulted in injuries to 174 Palestinians, a 12% increase compared to the same period last year.

The report confirms that these indicators reflect the widening circle of organized settler violence and its transformation into a parallel tool to the policies of the Israeli occupation government in the West Bank, threatening further escalation and displacement.
