UAE arrangements to transfer hundreds of STC elements to fight in Sudan
ADEN, Nov. 16 (YPA) – A prominent Southern Yemeni politician revealed on Saturday dangerous military arrangements being led by UAE forces in Southern Yemen, aimed at transferring hundreds of Southern Transitional Council (STC) loyalists to Sudan in the coming days.
The political writer Badawi Al-Jabal Al-Mansouri confirmed in a post on “Facebook” that he obtained reliable military information indicating that the UAE forces’ leadership plans to move elements from Aden and Lahj to fight alongside the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) led by “Hemedti.”
Al-Mansouri noted that this urgent UAE move comes after the Chairman of Sudan’s Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, “declared a general mobilization” to confront the UAE-backed RSF.
He added that Al-Burhan’s step reflects UAE fears of a large-scale military operation that might be launched by the Saudi-aligned Sudanese Armed Forces to regain control of areas held by the RSF.
