BEIJING, Nov. 14 (YPA) – China announced on Friday the discovery of the largest gold mine in its history, located in the northeastern province of Liaoning, boasting massive reserves estimated at 1.44 thousand tons.
The mine, named “Dadonggou,” is situated in Liaoning province and is considered the largest of its kind in China, with reserves reaching 1.44 thousand tons.
China’s Ministry of Natural Resources confirmed that this discovery will significantly contribute to bolstering China’s strategic gold reserves and aims to build a world-class gold extraction base in the province.
The average gold concentration in the deposits is 0.56 grams per ton, and the ore body extends to a depth ranging from 115 to 913 meters below the surface.
