Al-Bukhaiti slams UN experts’ report on Yemen as ‘moral scandal’

SANAA, Nov. 09 (YPA) – Ansarullah Political Bureau’s member, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, launched an attack on the United Nations experts’ report on Yemen, describing it as a “moral scandal by all standards” that condemns the international organization before targeting anyone else.

“The report by the UN Panel of Experts on Yemen is a condemnation of the United Nations and a moral scandal by any measure, given its replete with lies, fabrications, and blatant insults to the Yemeni people, making it seem like a chapter from “One Thousand and One Nights,” Al-Bukhaiti wrote on X.

He explained that the report not only legitimizes the aggression and blockade against Yemen and criminalizes the humanitarian and economic activities that barely keep Yemenis alive, but it also deliberately distorts the image of Yemenis by fabricating fictional stories based on the testimony of a single, anonymous individual.

Al-Bukhaiti called on the UN Secretary-General to intervene directly to correct this deviation and expose the falsehoods in the report, warning that silence would leave a “stain of shame” in the organization’s history, which, according to him, abandoned its neutrality and its supposed role.

This attack coincides with the release of the latest UN experts’ report, amid UN moves seen in Sanaa as an attempt to exert pressure related to employees accused of spying for the Israeli occupation and allegedly participating in a plot to target the Sanaa government last August.
