Sanaa refers 725 suspects in 9 corruption cases to Public Prosecution
SANAA, Nov. 03 (YPA) – The Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) on Monday approved the referral of 725 suspects in 9 corruption cases to the Office of the Attorney General for onward submission to the specialized prosecution.
This move paves the way for filing criminal lawsuits against them before the Public Funds and Anti-Corruption Court.
According to the official “Saba” news agency, the financial damage in these cases exceeded 4.8 billion Yemeni riyals. Additionally, the cases involved the seizure and facilitation of the seizure of 7 million square meters of land belonging to a strategic state facility.
The authority successfully recovered approximately 2 million square meters of that land.
The acts of corruption in these cases included abuse of influence, seizure of public funds, and harming the interests of the state.
