OCCUPIED QUDS, Oct. 30 (YPA) – News reports indicated that the Israeli occupation authorities approved the construction of about 1,300 new settlement units in the “Gush Etzion” settlement bloc, south of Quds (Jerusalem), as part of a rapid settlement expansion.
Concurrently, the occupation authorities delivered 30 demolition and stop-work orders for Palestinian homes in Al-Issawiya and the town of Al-Za’ayyem, east of occupied Quds.
This escalation coincides with a surge in Zionist settler attacks across the West Bank, where settlers attacked Palestinian vehicles north of Ramallah and set fire to agricultural lands in the Sahl Turmus Ayya area, resulting in the burning of dozens of ancient olive trees. Furthermore, the occupation forces obstructed the entry of Palestinian Civil Defense teams to extinguish the fires.
