Israeli media: Conference of European Rabbis cancels gathering in Baku

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The Israeli foreign intelligence agency, Mossad, has decided to cancel the Conference of European Rabbis has canceled its upcoming convention, which was scheduled to take place early next month in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, citing security concerns, Israeli media reported on Monday.

According to the reports, Mossad’s security protection unit issued instructions barring several Israeli participants—among them government ministers and senior religious figures—from traveling to attend the event, which had been planned for November 4.

The cancellation comes amid growing political and diplomatic isolation facing Israel over its ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.

In recent weeks, several countries have pulled out of cooperation agreements, suspended official visits, and heeded growing popular and governmental calls to boycott Israel in international forums, reflecting a decline in its diplomatic reach, even in non-political arenas such as religious and cultural events.
