Armed robbers got away with 4 million Saudi riyals after robbery in Marib

MARIB, Oct. 28 (YPA) – An armed robbery targeted a currency exchange company in Marib, a city controlled by Islah-affiliated factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, on Sunday, local sources reported.

According to the sources, masked gunmen dressed in military uniforms stormed Saddam Express, stole about 4 million Saudi riyals, and forced staff to comply at gunpoint. The robbers also confiscated employees’ phones before fleeing in a bus to an unknown location.

The raid sparked fear and shock among local residents, amid allegations that members of pro-coalition factions carried out the attack in response to unpaid salaries.
