One Palestinian injured, several arrested in Israeli raids across West Bank, Quds

WEST BANK, Oct. 20 (YPA) – A Palestinian youth was injured and several others were arrested during a series of raids carried out by Israeli occupation forces overnight and early Monday across various parts of the occupied West Bank and occupied  city of Quds (Jerusalem).

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that a 37-year-old man was shot in the thigh by Israeli forces at Qalandia military checkpoint, north of occupied Jerusalem. The wounded man was transferred to medical crews shortly after midnight.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli forces arrested Saeed Mustafa Dawoud, a resident of Beit Duqqu, northwest of the city, after raiding and ransacking his home at dawn.

In the Ramallah area, Israeli forces arrested four Palestinians during dawn raids in the villages of Al-Mazra’ah al-Gharbiyah and Dayr Ghassana, northwest of Ramallah, and in Umm Al-Sharayet in the city of Al-Bireh. Several others were detained in the village of Al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah.

According to Palestinian sources, the occupation forces arrested a man and his son after storming their home in Al-Mazra’ah al-Gharbiyah, as well as a young man from Dayr Ghassana, and another youth from Umm Al-Sharayet in Al-Bireh.

The sources added that more than 15 residents were detained during a large-scale raid in Al-Mughayyir, where they were subjected to on-the-spot field interrogations.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces stormed the village of Al-Asakra to the east, deploying in several neighborhoods and raiding a home, though no arrests were reported.

In southern Nablus, occupation forces raided the village of Al-Lubban ash-Sharqiya, deploying several military vehicles in the Al-Qanater neighborhood. Soldiers fired tear gas canisters toward residents in the Al-Bayader area.

Additionally, a young man was arrested from the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, and a teenager was detained after Israeli forces raided his home in the Rafidia neighborhood of Nablus.
