SANAA, Sept. 23 (YPA) – The Spanish government announced, on Tuesday, a comprehensive arms embargo on the Israeli occupation, pursuant to a royal decree that entered into force immediately.
The government explained that the decision includes a halt to all arms sales and related military technology, a ban on the use of Spanish ports for fuel shipments intended for military purposes, and the closure of airspace to any arms transfers.
The decree also includes a halt to the import of goods of a military nature.
The decision comes within the framework of what Madrid described as its absolute commitment to international law and efforts to stop the war in Gaza, placing Spain at the forefront of European countries that have taken practical steps to restrict military relations with the occupation.
