Iranian foreign minister calls on neighboring countries ‘to rely only on themselves’

TEHRAN, Aug. 08 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called on neighboring and Muslim countries to rely only on themselves and embrace regional solidarity.

In a post on his X account, Araghchi wrote that Iran’s Powerful Armed Forces have shown their readiness, capability, and might in face of the world’s most expensive military.

When Muslims stand together, we can face every challenge by malicious outsiders head-on, he added.

Araghchi pointed out that time to rely only on ourselves and embrace true brotherhood.

US President Donald Trump announced last Sunday that he had called off attacks on Iran as part of a settlement agreement under negotiation, which included reopening the Strait of Hormuz and reaching an agreement on Iran’s nuclear program.
