Decomposed body of woman found in Dhalea

DHALEA Sept. 21 (YPA) – Residents found a decomposed body of a woman who had been missing for nearly three months in Yemen’s southern province of Dhalea, which is under the control of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions.

According to informed local sources, the body of the elderly woman, identified as Zahra Hussein Taher, was found on Saturday between the villages of Alhaql and Alqaflah in the Aljumaymah area of Al Azariq district.

Only fragments of the skeletal remains were found, with the body in an advanced state of decomposition.

The sources explained that the woman was identified through the clothes and shoes she was wearing, along with a skull and some bones found nearby.

They noted that the search for the elderly woman during her disappearance yielded no results, suggesting that she may have had an accident while crossing a rocky road in the middle of the valley.

The discovery of the woman’s decomposing body came as a shock to local residents, amid the lack of clarity surrounding the circumstances of her death.
