Meteorology predicts scattered rainfall to continue

SANAA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expected on Friday continued rainfall over parts of several provinces of Yemen.

According to the weather bulletin issued by the center, moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, may be prevailed over parts of Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Dhamar, Rayma, Sanaa, Mahweet, Tihama Plain, Lahj Abyan, Saada, Amran, Hajjah, and Bayda, as well as parts of Shabwa and Hadramout

The center warned citizens against staying in valleys beds and flood channels, callin then them to be cautious of soil erosion, landslides, and reduced visibility on mountainous  roads due to heavy cloud and fog.

It also advised people to follow safety procedures to protect themselves from thunderstorms and to stay away from unstable slopes.
