16 Israeli soldiers killed since beginning of September, including 2 suicides

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Sept. 19 (YPA) -At least 14 Israeli soldiers have been killed in operations by the Palestinian resistance in the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip since the beginning of September, while two others had committed suicide, according to the Israeli occupation army.

At the beginning of September, a reserve Israeli soldier from the “Ma’alot-Tarshiha” area in northern occupied Palestine committed suicide.

On September 8, eight Israeli soldiers were killed, four in the Gaza Strip and four in a shooting operation in occupied city of Quds (Jerusalem).

On September 9, the occupation announced that a soldier had committed suicide in his apartment in Rehovot, just hours before his wedding, according to Hebrew media.

On Thursday six Israeli soldiers were killed — four of them in a military jeep explosion in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, and two in a shooting and stabbing operation carried out by a Jordanian citizen at the Karama (Allenby) border crossing between the West Bank and Jordan.

According to statistics from the Israeli  occupation army, since the war began last October, the Israeli military says 904 of its personnel have been killed. However, some analysts and rights groups claim the actual number could be higher, citing concerns over transparency in military reporting.
