Ansarallah leader attacks Saudi-British coalition, vows ‘procedural response’ to any protection of Israeli interests

SANAA, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the leader of the Ansarallah movement, launched a fierce attack on what he called the “Arab and Islamic inaction” regarding the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, confirming Yemen’s continued support for the Palestinian people.

The remarks came in a speech delivered on Thursday, addressing the latest regional and international developments.

Al-Houthi described the events in Gaza as “genocide and the crime of the century,” calling the scenes “horrific and tragic”, and urging those with a human conscience to take a stance. He stated that Israel is using American, British, and German weapons in its aggression while simultaneously benefiting from Arab resources.

Warning Against the Red Sea Coalition

Al-Houthi strongly criticized the recently announced Saudi-British coalition to protect navigation in the Red Sea, asserting that its primary goal is to “protect Israeli navigation.”

He warned that any party that involves itself in protecting Israeli interests “will face a procedural response” from Sanaa forces, reiterating Yemen’s stance on closing or restricting Israeli shipping lanes in the Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Red Sea.

Condemnation of Israeli Practices and a Firm Popular Stance

Al-Houthi’s speech was not limited to Gaza; it also included a condemnation of repeated Israeli attacks in the West Bank, raids on holy sites, and the increasing targeting of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He also expressed concerns about attempts to disarm the resistance in some countries, recalling the “Sabra and Shatila massacre” as historical evidence of the dangers of depriving people of the tools to defend themselves.

In a separate context, Al-Houthi praised the steadfast Yemeni popular stance on the Palestinian issue, which is expressed through ongoing demonstrations and events in Yemeni provinces. He also lauded the role of the media, considering it a “central arena of jihad,” and paid tribute to the journalists who were martyred while covering the events, describing them as “martyrs of the media.”

Sayyed Al-Houthi concluded his speech by pointing to the continuation of missile and drone operations targeting sensitive military sites in the occupied Palestinian territories, affirming the continuation of pressure on Israeli navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.

This address comes amid escalating tensions between Sanaa’s forces and the Israeli occupation.
