Sayyed Al-Houthi criticizes Arab-Islamic summit outcomes, describing them as “weak”

SANAA, Sept. 18 (YPA) – The leader of the Ansarallah movement, Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, on Thursday criticized the outcomes of the Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha, describing them as “low-level and weak” and as mere general statements that lacked any practical stances.

In his televised speech this evening, Al-Houthi said that the summit’s weak outcomes encouraged the “Israeli enemy” to continue its aggressions. As evidence, he cited the ongoing threats to target Qatar immediately after the summit.

Al-Houthi proposed several solutions that the participating countries could have adopted, such as halting oil exports to the Israeli entity, removing the “terrorism” designation from Palestinian resistance factions, and closing their airspace to Israeli aviation.

He condemned the failure to take any practical action, questioning, “Have the Arab and Islamic regimes reached a point where they have no opportunity or option left to take any practical stance?”

Highlighting the contradiction between Arab and Western positions, Al-Houthi compared the Arab summit, which provided no practical support for Palestine, with European summits that announced billions of dollars and weapons to support Ukraine.

He also emphasized that cutting ties with “Israel” is a viable and effective step, noting that “Israel is the biggest beneficiary of those relationships.”
