Senior Yemeni official calls welcoming Israeli delegation in Aden “shameful treason”

SANAA, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Awad Mohammed bin Farid al-Awlaqi, the governor of Shabwa province appointed by the Sanaa government, described the reception of an Israeli delegation by the Aden government as “shameful treason that rises to the level of a national and pan-Arab crime.”

In a press statement on Monday, al-Awlaqi strongly condemned what he called the “defiling of the pure southern land” by a Zionist delegation disguised as journalists, asserting that the Yemeni people reject this move.

He considered the act to be “blatant treason to the blood of the martyrs and an unashamed collaboration with the enemy of the nation.”

Al-Awlaqi also called for the liberation of the south from the “Israeli occupation and its mercenaries,” emphasizing that the people of Shabwa and the south are ready to fight the “battle of liberation and defense of sovereignty.”

He reiterated Yemen’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people until the Zionist crimes in Gaza are stopped.
