Meteorology warns of collapse of old buildings, landslides due to rain

SANAA, Aug. 27 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning expects heavy rain and thunderstorms to continue in a number of governorates over the next 24 hours.

According to the meteorological bulletin, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Hodeida, Ibb, Raymah, and parts of Dhamar, Taiz, Al Mahwit, and Hajjah, and heavy to moderate rain is expected in Sana’a, Al Bayda, Al Dhale’e, Amran, and parts of Hadramout, Shabwa, Saada, Lahj, Abyan, and Al Mahrah.

The center warned of the collapse of old buildings, rock slides in roads, mountains, and the crossing of torrents, whether by car or without them.
