Hamas commends Dutch officials resigning over coalition’s “Israel” policy

GAZA, Aug. 24 (YPA) -The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) commended the courageous and ethical stance of Dutch Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp and his resignation—alongside several ministers—following the refusal of his government coalition partners to impose new sanctions on the Zionist occupation entity, over its ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip and its settlement projects in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.

“This principled position taken by the resigning Dutch ministers in the face of the genocide and starvation against our people in Gaza embodies humanitarian values, reaffirms commitment to the foundations of international law, and sends a powerful message on the necessity of acting to stop the fascist aggression against innocent civilians,” Hamas said in a statement

The movement added, “This ethical stance comes at a time when the UN has declared the spread of famine in the Gaza Strip—a reality that obligates all people of conscience to exert every effort to boycott and punish the occupation, and to pressure it to halt its ongoing crimes of genocide and starvation.”

Hamas called on all governments of the world to assume their moral and political responsibilities.

It emphasized the necessity of rejecting the policies of the fascist occupation, condemning the genocide and starvation, imposing deterrent sanctions on it, and taking immediate action to stop the massacres and lift the siege on our people.
