SANAA, Aug. 14 (YPA) – The General Secretariat of the Arab League said, on Wednesday evening, that the statements of the occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the so-called “Greater Israel Vision” are an explicit attempt to control parts of the lands of Arab countries, and a direct threat to security and stability in the region.
In a statement, the General Secretariat explained that these statements represent a challenge to international law and international legitimacy, and reflect expansionist and aggressive intentions that cannot be tolerated, stressing that they reveal an extremist mentality that is trying to reproduce old colonial policies.
The League called on the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and take firm measures to confront these statements, work to protect security and stability in the region, and prevent the increase in tension and hatred toward the occupying state.
Netanyahu had stated in an interview with the Hebrew channel “i24”, the details of which were published yesterday, by the “Times of Israel” website, that his mission supports the “Greater Israel” vision, which, according to Israeli claims, includes areas comprising the occupied Palestinian territories and parts of Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt.
