Palestinian scholars call for popular escalation in field to support Gaza, defend Al-Aqsa

RAMALLAH, Aug. 03 (YPA) – The Association of Palestinian Scholars called on Arab and Islamic peoples and free people around the world to take urgent action against the popular escalation in confronting the ten-month-long siege of Gaza.

It called for protests to be organized in front of the embassies of the Israeli entity and other countries supporting the Israeli occupation and to continue until the aggression stops and the siege on more than two million Palestinians is lifted.

The association expressed concern about the situation in al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that the occupation police facilitate extremist incursions and support Judaization plans. It warned against attempts to impose a temporal and spatial division of Al-Aqsa and forcibly transform it into a Jewish temple.

Coinciding with the anniversary of the “Destruction of the Temple,” the association emphasized the importance of popular and media engagement, emphasizing that defending Al-Aqsa is an Islamic battle and a historical responsibility.

It concluded by affirming that any complacency is an abdication of responsibility and a betrayal of the nation.
