Security officer kidnapped in Taiz

TAIZ, July 21 (YPA) – Gunmen affiliated with the so-called Fourth Infantry Brigade kidnapped a security officer in the center of Al-Turbah city, the center of As shamayateen district, south of Taiz province.

Sources said that a military vehicle led by Alawi Al-Jabouli, brother of the commander of the Fourth Mountain Infantry Brigade and commander of the Tur Al-Baha Axis, intercepted and kidnapped Major Tariq Ahmed Thabet, director of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Al-Maqatra District Police in Lahj province.

The sources confirmed that soldiers and gunmen in civilian clothes were aboard the vehicle and took Major Thabet to an unknown location, without clarifying the reasons for the incident.
