Mahweet historic cities, monuments Authorities condemn targeting Zabid

MAHEET, July 28 (YPA) – The General Authorities for Conservation of Historic Cities, Antiquities and Museums in Mahweet province on Saturday condemned the US-backed Saudi-led coalition against the historic city of Zabid in Hodeidah province.
In a statement, the two authorities confirmed that the continued coalition destruction of the historical monuments that abound in the city of Zabid aims to obliterate the civilization and history of Yemen, which extends for thousands of years.
The statement appealed to the international organizations concerned with the cultural heritage of humanity to pressure the countries of coalition and intervention to stop its crimes against historical monuments in Yemen.
