Belgium orders halt to military exports to “Israel”

BRUSSELS, July 17 (YPA) – A Brussels court has ordered the Flemish regional government to halt all transfers of military equipment to “Israel.”

Last month, the Walloon government decided to ban arms transfers to Israeli entity through its airports in response to a request from non-governmental organizations.

A spokeswoman for the Walloon Prime Minister confirmed that the investigation into the arms transfers followed requests from these organizations.

Given the situation in Gaza, the prime minister decided to ban the transfer of military equipment on the EU list to “Israel,” either directly or via Liège and Charleroi airports.

It’s worth noting that human rights organizations previously reported that 70 tons of military equipment were sent from the United States to Israel via Liège Airport.
