Cloudy weather threatens rain, meteorologists renew warnings to citizens

SANAA, July 14 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning forecast on Monday cloudy weather in the highlands with scattered rains in most Yemeni areas.

In its weather bulletin, the center predicted the scattered showers on parts of the provinces of Taiz, Sanaa, Mahweet, Hajjah, Amran, Saada, Ibb, Dhamar, and Rayma, in addition to Dhalea, Bayda, highlands of Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.

It pointed out that the weather in coastal areas would be clear to partly cloudy, , with the possibility of scattered rain on the eastern coasts.

The center noted that the winds may be active to very strong, causing sea disturbances and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the southern and eastern coasts.
It stated that the desert areas would have clear to partly cloudy weather, with moderate northerly to northeasterly winds, sometimes active, causing dust storms.

Additionally, motorists were warned not to cross over bridges during rain and flooding.
