KHARTOUM, July 14 (YPA) – About 11 civilians, including 3 children, were killed and 31 others injured on Sunday in an attack by Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the Shaq al-Num area in North Kordofan State, in the south of Sudan.
The Sudanese Doctors Network declared that said in a statement that RSF committed a heinous crime in the Shaq al-Num area of North Kordofan State, resulting in the deaths of 11 civilians, including 3 innocent children.
The statement added that the aforementioned attack led to injury of 31 others, including 9 women, some of whom were pregnant.
The network described the assault as the worst brutal attack, adding that it violated all humanitarian norms and international conventions.
It expressed the Sudanese Doctors Network’s “deep regret” for this attack, which it considered a continuation of the criminal approach pursued by the RSF in targeting unarmed civilians.
For days, the three states of Kordofan have been witnessing violent clashes between the Sudanese army and the RSF, with the aim of seizing control of the three states.
