SANAA, July 10 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted on Thursday strong winds over the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
In its weather forecast, the center reported that the scattered showers would fall on parts of the provinces of Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Rayma, Amran, Mahweet, Hajjah, the highlands of Abyan and Lahj, in additional to Hadramut, Shabwa, Bayda, Sanaa, Saada, and the Tihama Plain.
It warned citizens of thunderstorms and of being in or crossing floodwaters during rainfall.
The center called on seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains to exercise extreme caution as a result of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the eastern and southern coasts.
