Gaza’s GMO: Israeli occupation carried out 59 massacres, killing 288 in 100 hours
GAZA, July 07 (YPA) -Israeli occupation forces have committed 59 massacres in the Gaza Strip over the past 100 hours, killing 288 Palestinians — including 99 who were seeking humanitarian aid — according to the Gaza Government Media Office (GMO). Over 1, 088 were also wounded, GMO said.
In a statement, GMO reported that 99 Palestinians were killed and 394 injured by occupation forces near so-called “death traps”—areas identified as aid distribution centers operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. The attacks occurred as tens of thousands of starving civilians gathered in search of food, amid a systematic campaign of starvation targeting 2.4 million residents in the Gaza Strip.
The statement added that the occupation deliberately carries out these brutal massacres by:
- Bombing overcrowded shelter and displacement centers housing tens of thousands of displaced people
- Bombing public rest areas
- Bombing Palestinian families inside their homes
- Bombing markets and popular gathering areas
- Bombing and killing starving civilians while they search for food
- Bombing medical clinics, health centers, and vital facilities
- Bombing the Al-Mawasi area, which the occupation falsely claims to be a safe area
- Killing starving civilians near the so-called “death traps” while they attempt to get food
GMO emphasized that the majority of the martyrs are children, women, and the elderly — all unarmed civilians — underscoring the occupation’s deliberate targeting of the most vulnerable groups to inflict the highest possible death toll and destruction.
The Government Media Office strongly condemned the horrific crimes committed by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people, holding the occupation fully responsible.
It urgently called on the international community and all human rights and humanitarian institutions to take immediate and decisive action to stop the genocide in Gaza and save civilians from systematic, daily killings.
